Tommy - you are a great story teller …you’ve cheered me up on a dismal cold wet Sunday bus trip to get an MRI scan.

Nick, thank you.

I don't like MRIs. Amazing technology whose testing experience is akin to being locked in a metal trashcan that's surrounded by several chimps beating it with large sticks. I hope it brings good news.

BTW, I have missed your End of the Line chapters and your perfectly structured sentences like the one in your reply.

There you go again - not only do spin a great yarn but you drag your coat* with such casual style. You have, as I think I've said before, the elegant curtesy of a true Southern gentleman.

* I'm stretching the usage a bit here but you may remember Wilfred Bramble as Paul's uncle in a Hard Days Night used this term when telling Ringo that he ought to be out there dragging his coat to attract pretty young women. The idea that Parkinson’s patients share common personality traits is fascinating… it certainly ties in with the idea that Parkinson’s may be, in part at least, caused by burnout et cetera. If you are overly conscientious at work coupled with industriousness and then card in a stubbornness not to give up hen that is a recipe for, if not disaster, then some trouble! It’s something that I think I will look into a little bit more deeply for my forthcoming portrait series. Perhaps I can do a portrait from both inside and out?! I agree that your son‘s answer is brilliant by the way… It is often in the quiet solutions the most effective way is shown - it shows real thought on his part.

Several years ago my movement disorder specialist made a similar observation about her patients. She noted that her PD patients tended to be self-made high stressed entrepreneurial types. I benefited greatly from cutting back on work and reducing stress!
